It’s always fun when the daytime stars take fans behind the scenes of their soaps and this time, The Young and the Restless’ Melissa Ordway (Abby) has turned the camera on one of Genoa City’s most notorious sets — the Chancellor mansion. The actress posted a video on Instagram and invited her followers to “come to work with me,” to which castmate Conner Floyd (Chance) playfully let everyone know his thoughts on the scene.
Her day began with her arriving at the CBS studios “super early,” with a coffee in hand, then heading into the hair and makeup room to get glammed up as Abby. From there she walked into the Chancellor mansion and up the stairs while waiting to film scenes before stopping by a display of photos, featuring the Abbott family and baby Dominic.
She took a moment to introduce some of her “very favorite people,” fellow castmates Bryton James (Devon), Amelia Heinle (Victoria), and Sean Dominic (Nate) then showed everyone what the set actually looked like when they were about to film a scene — and after a touchup, the actress was ready to start shooting!
Fans jumped into the comments to say how much they loved the video and as we teased, Floyd commented as well to send Ordway a playful jab about the fact that she is currently living in his family’s mansion — and he isn’t.
“That’s my house,” Floyd joked, to which one fan, Brandi Garrett, replied, making a very good point, “But you gave it up though to the woman who cheated on you because you’re nice like that, too nice.”
