About Tanner Novlan
On THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, Tanner Novlan plays Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan, who is both handsome and compassionate. While treating Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) after a motorcycle accident, Finn becomes intertwined in the lives of the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families.
Novlan was born and reared in the small hamlet of Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, Canada, on his family’s 3,500-acre wheat and canola farm. He traveled to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue his goal of becoming an actor. Novlan posed in print ads for Guess and Tommy Hilfiger while taking acting courses and attending auditions.
“Roswell: New Mexico,” “Modern Family,” “Letterkenny,” “Rizzoli and Isles,” “Bones,” and “Parenthood” are among his television credits. “Flatbush Luck,” “Fallen Stars,” and “Ice: The Movie” are among Novlan’s cinematic credits. He is arguably most known for his appearance in the hilarious Liberty Mutual advertisement as “Bad Actor.”

Novlan’s wife, actress Caitlyn Ewell, was a contract actress on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL at one point. They’ve been married since 2015 and have a daughter named Poppy Marie.
