This little ditty about Jack and Diane over on The Young and the Restless has been sung for four decades, ever since a young Jabot model fell for the company’s golden playboy. The couple quickly began a dance that would last through betrayals, affairs, marriages, children and even death. But in all the time, the one thing the two never managed to do was walk down the aisle… Until now!
Yes, the two married over the summer in a small, quick city hall union, but it wasn’t until this past Monday, October 9th that Jack and Diane renewed their vows in front of their loved ones in a real, honest to God wedding. Sure, there are fans out there crying foul, even as others cheer it on, but for Susan Walters, Diane’s joyful day has been a long time in coming.
The actress shared a wedding photo over on Instagram along with her utter joy at the ceremony. “The only person happier than ‘Diane’ at her wedding was… Me!! She finally got her man,” Walters wrote, “and I continually get to work with so many amazing people on Young & Restless.“

Now it’s just a matter of Diane holding onto Jack! These things are always tricky in Genoa City and there are plenty of folks out there who just keep on waiting for the other shoe to watch.
Plus, she better watch out, because she’s not the only one who’s had eyes for Jack for decades! Jane Sibbett who started in daytime back in 1986 on Santa Barbara has been a fan of Peter Bergman since his days as All My Children‘s Cliff!
“Oh, I had such a crush on him when I was in high school,” she wrote in the comments. “He is such a wonderful actor. I hope he is a doting leading man to your amazing talent, too! I am so happy for you. You are living the dream.”
If we had to hazard a guess, we’d say that whether folks trust Diane or not, Sibbett’s sentiment is something everyone can agree on!
