Honeymoon Bliss for Johnny & Chanel! Kristen’s Fury Ignited by Holly

It was a tumultuous day in Salem as the various residents dealt with the fallout from recent events. At the Horton Town Square, Johnny stood waiting for his new wife Chanel, eager to whisk her away on their honeymoon.

“I’ve got the key to the Horton cabin all ready,” Johnny said with an excited grin as Chanel approached. “We can start our mini-honeymoon today!”

Chanel gave him an apologetic look. “I’m so sorry, but I have to work. Grandma Paulina is in isolation for her iodine treatment, and I need to make sure the restaurant is covered while she’s gone.”

Johnny’s face fell. “Aw, man. Can’t it wait? I was really hoping we could get away for a few days, just the two of us.”

“I wish we could, but Grandma needs me right now,” Chanel said. “Tell you what – as soon as Paulina’s treatment is done, we’ll go. I promise.” She leaned in and gave him a quick kiss before hurrying off to the bakery.

Across town, Ava was on the phone with her old partner in crime, Clyde Weston. He was demanding that she retrieve an important book of contacts from the Bistro – a book that could potentially lead the authorities back to him.

“I can’t do it, Clyde,” Ava said through gritted teeth. “I’m done with that life. I’d rather rot in jail than help you again.”

“Now, Ava, let’s not be hasty,” Clyde drawled. “You know what’ll happen if you don’t cooperate. I’ll expose your involvement in the drug trade, and Harris will find out how you really got me out of prison.”

Ava closed her eyes, her stomach twisting with dread. She couldn’t risk Harris finding out the truth. “Fine. But this is the last time, you hear me? After this, I’m out for good.”

Meanwhile, at the DiMera mansion, the family drama was reaching a boiling point. Holly sulked on the couch as EJ confronted Kristen about Stefan’s arrest.

“Where does this leave DiMera Enterprises?” Kristen demanded. “Why did I have to find out from The Spectator that one of my brothers locked up another one of my brothers, while my youngest brother published a story about it in the paper?”

EJ held up his hands. “It’s under control, Kristen. I’m handling it.”

“You better be,” Kristen snapped. “This family has been through enough turmoil. I won’t let you jeopardize everything we’ve built.”

As EJ rushed off, Holly spoke up. “It’s all your fault, you know. If you hadn’t blown everything out of proportion from the beginning, I’d still be able to see Tate.”

EJ turned back to Holly, his expression softening. “I know this has been difficult for you, Holly. But you have to understand, what you did was wrong. You need to learn from this experience.”

Holly pouted. “I just miss him so much.”

EJ sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder. “I know. But it will get better, I promise. In the meantime, let me know if Kristen gives you any more trouble, okay?”
